At the heart of this voyage lies an extraordinary musical experience, reminiscent of the world class concerts held in our East Sussex venue, with renowned artists offering intimate acoustic performances which our venue is celebrated for.
Feel like you are part of the Trading Boundaries family from the moment you step on board the brand new Emerald Astra to begin a wonderful cruise exploring the magnificent Rhine.
Complimenting the musical performances, world renowned artist Roger Dean will be on board to showcase a captivating collection of his paintings, fine art prints, drawings and rare pieces never before been seen in public.
Roger will share insights into his illustrious career and host a live painting session, offering guests a rare glimpse into his creative process.
Discover enchanting landscapes, rich culture and fairy tale scenery as you sail the majestic Rhine on an 8 day cruise through 4 countries linked by this remarkable river.
The journey extends beyond the ship with stop overs in world class cities & romantic towns along the route, featuring carefully curated excursions including cathedral performances and special cultural experiences, this is truly a once in a lifetime voyage.
Emerald Astra will mark the next evolution of Emerald Cruises’ award-winning river fleet. Designed to mirror the sleek elegance of the line’s luxury superyachts, the ship features a modern, grey-tinted glass exterior and will welcome 180 guests.
What truly sets this journey apart is the company on board. This is a rare opportunity to spend time with the musicians and artists whose work defined a generation, the soundtrack to many of our younger lives, shared in an intimate setting of performances, conversations and spontaneous moments.
Afternoons will be gently structured, with informal talks, Q&A sessions and occasional light performances planned.
Evenings begin with a main concert after dinner, a chance to enjoy outstanding performances in a relaxed and intimate setting. Later, the night continues with our After-Hours sessions, with the bar open until 1am and musicians drifting in and out. These late nights are unstructured, spontaneous, and may well be the moments people remember most. Throughout both cruises, the atmosphere will be friendly, informal and full of creativity, combining world-class musicianship, outstanding vocals, with laughter, conversation and those unexpected moments that make life on board feel truly special.
Bringing not only outstanding vocals and musicianship to both cruises but also a great sense of humour and storytelling that perfectly suits the relaxed spirit on board.
With still more to announce!
Together with the music, celebrated artist Roger Dean joins us on both cruises, surrounded by his iconic artwork, sharing stories, insights and live painting sessions.
